SGN and H2 Green launch Inverness hydrogen hub plan to cut transport emissions

We’re excited to launch our first project with SGN, taking a redundant piece of land and bringing it back into commercial use as a scalable long term clean energy solution to reduce transport emissions, benefitting the planet and the local economy.

Green hydrogen is produced when an electrolyser is used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. If the electrolyser is powered by a renewable source, such as solar or wind, the resulting hydrogen is green and the only by-product is oxygen.

Ownership of the site will be transferred from SGN to H2 Green and SGN will prepare the site for development, including removal of the redundant gas holder. H2 Green will lead the project including detailed engineering design, and they will advance relevant consents, permits and licenses.

Welcome to H2 Green

Fuelling the future

We provide large-scale hydrogen storage at sites close to towns and cities across the UK.
The scale of our storage dramatically lowers production costs, and we pass the savings on to you.

Working with our engineering partners, we can build hydrogen hubs that deliver large amounts of hydrogen, providing security of supply for multiple users across whole regions.
